Chef Mikko Kosonen has been a fixture of the Washington food scene for over 21 years. He served 15 years as the Chef to the Finnish Ambassador, but left the job four years ago to focus on his high-end catering business. Mikko’s catering brings fresh Nordic cuisine to gatherings of all sizes, with a diverse and long list of Nordic specialties. The growth of his catering business inspired him to open a Nordic cafe in Dupont Circle. Kosonen hopes to expand the Cafe’s footprint over the next years, establishing Nordic dining in DC. For anyone craving smoked salmon, herring, lingonberry, rye bread, Norwegian Solo or imported Scandinavian candy – Mikko Nordic Fine Foods is the place to go.
