SAS and the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce, Mid-Atlantic Chapter (NACC MA) co-hosted a networking event welcoming SAS as a new member of NACC MA. The president of NACC MA, Idar Voldnes, kicked off the event by welcoming SAS to D.C. and highlighted the importance of the evenings topic of sustainable aviation.
The event featured a presentation by General Manager for Region North America, Ms. Jasmin Utter, about latest updates, including developments of the SAS fleet, network and onboard experience. With air travel bouncing back, the ability to travel more sustainably is becoming increasingly important to customers traveling for both business and leisure. Among other aspects, Ms. Utter spoke about biofuel and decreasing environmental impact during flights. After the presentation the floor was opened for questions and feedback.
In attendance was people from the aviation industry, multiple Chamber-members and contributors, and representatives from D.C.-based think tanks and policy-drivers, such as Capstone. It offered valuable opportunities to discuss and network both within and across industries.
SAS operates from all of the Scandinavian countries. Several representatives from the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (SACC) were in attendance and the event was great occasion for showcasing the Scandinavian collaboration and strengthening the joint efforts moving forward.
We are thrilled to welcome SAS as a new Red Corporate member and are looking forward to our collaboration and joining them on their Journey's That Matter.
