On June 11th, policymakers and industry leaders gathered at the Norwegian Embassy in Washington, D.C. for a Nordic Innovation and Sustainability Forum on the timely topic of "Critical Minerals – Supply Chain Opportunities in the US"

Norway's Deputy Chief of Mission Bård Ivar Svendsen opened the event by highlighting the mineral security Memorandum of Cooperation between Norway and the U.S. and the strong state of Transatlantic cooperation on the issue.

We heard keynotes from William “Tommy” Joyce, Acting Assistant Secretary, International Affairs, U.S. Department of Energy on the important work the D.O.E. is doing to protect our supply chains and from Sarah Ryker, Acting Director, United States Geological Survey, on how USGS provides data on critical minerals crucial for government and industry.

Industry leaders then discussed recent innovations in their field and the risks and opportunities facing their companies going forward.

Together with our co-hosts Embassy of Finland in the U.S. and Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce-Washington D.C. (SACC-DC), we would like to give a special thank you to all of our sponsors for making the event possible:
