Description
The Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce is active in eight major US business areas. These areas include but are not limited to; Defense Technologies, Environment and Sustainability, Seafood and Agriculture, IT and Communications, Shipping and Marine Technologies, Social, Culture and Tourism. Members include leaders of Norwegian and American firms successfully pursuing business in the dynamic Norway-US market. The thriving Norwegian economy has created attractive opportunities in banking and finance, energy, the maritime and offshore industries, technology and environmental resource management, among others.

Responsibilities
As an intern for NACC Mid-Atlantic you will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from member relations, marketing, event management, administrative tasks including website updates, newsletters, presentations, participation in meetings with NACCMA board members and embassy representatives, and more. As an intern you are also responsible for increasing brand awareness, drive membership, and utilize social media to strengthen relations with existing members. We encourage our interns to take initiative, be proactive and build professional business networks.
Reporting Relationship
This intern reports directly to the Program Manager and is overseen by the Chapter President. For students interning as a part of an academic degree, we will accommodate those requirements set forth by your school/academic institution.

Qualifications
This internship is offered to college level students (undergraduate, graduate and exchange students).

Prefered GPA of 3.0 or higher

An interest in Norwegian American relations

High proficiency in English oral and written

High proficiency in Norwegian oral and written is welcomed, but not required

Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Wix web platform

Well versed on Social Media platform and web editing
